In this talk, we will review the higher groupoid approach towards higher differentiable stacks and introduce shifted symplectic structures on them. We will give some interesting examples. Other topics, such as, possibility/path of quantisation, will be discussed if time permits. It is based on several joint works with Miquel Cueca Ten, Florian Dorsch, Leonid Ryvkin and Stefano Ronchi.
