Conformal block, braided operad and factorization

Abstract:
From
representations
of a vertex operator algebra, D-modules (conformal blocks) on
configuration spaces of the Riemann sphere are constructed. We show that
compositions of conformal blocks are consistent with the operad
structure of the configuration spaces. This gives an alternative
proof of the result of Huang-Lepowky that the representation category
of a regular vertex operator algebra has a structure of braided tensor
category.
