Convergence of star products

Abstract:
In my talks I will report on recent progress in the understanding of the convergence problem in formal deformation quantization. While the existence and classification of formal star products is well-understood in the general case of Poisson manifolds, the questions whether such formal star products have reasonable convergence properties, as required by physical applications, is wide open. I will give several classes of examples where the situation can be analyzed explicitly.
