Transfer matrices and absolutely continuous spectrum for
l-channel unitary operators

Abstract: Based on the work on scattering zippers we develop a unitary
analogue to one- and l-channel Hermitian operators with 2l by 2l
transfer matrices. Then we obtain an analogue of Carmona’s spectral
averaging formula and obtain criteria for absolutely continuous
